Maybe she had the laptop before she lost a job...before she lost her home. Maybe this is her connection to family...her connection to job search.
If she has no home address, email is her contact to friends, family, and potential employers. Really, how much would she get selling a used laptop, and how many nights would it buy her in a hotel?
She looks pretty clean, so maybe she has just now been put out of her home and searching internet for some help. Or maybe she is just now out of college for the summer and waiting for someone to pick her up to go home.
Just letting my imagination run a little wild. I hope I haven't offended you. I've read this post a few times and wanted to comment. But yes, it is funny/ironic to see her sitting there using the laptop. If she is homeless, I hope/pray she will find a safe place quickly.
I like reading your blog, but have never commented before. I don't remember how I ended up here, but if I am short on time, yours is one of the 4 or 5 I look at to see if you have a new post.
