Plan B it is!

Hubby got the call today! He starts the fire academy at the college
in January.

He got his official "thank you for your interest, BUT..." email from
the place with the paid training, which was Plan A.

So Plan B it is.

(If anyone hasn't got Hubby a Christmas present yet, bunker gear would
be great!)

Can I get an "OH YEAH!!"

That was Hubby's official 1.5 mile time. Under 14:00. He did it. He
passed all the other parts of the physical test too, for the fire
academy at our local community college.

The bad news: the class is full. Hubby is an alternate. They give
priority to sponsered and volunteer firemen. And for some reason, the
spring semester fills up more than the other semesters. BUT...there
are 4 spots that have not had the required paperwork turned in yet.
If the sponsering people do not submit their paperwork in the next 10
days, Hubby is in.

If they do turn in the paperwork, then Hubby has to wait for the
summer session to attend. But, he does not have to test again.

And of course this is all just a back plan. What we REALLY, REALLY,
REALLY want is for him to be accepted for the position that he
interviewed for.

Either way, I am very proud of him. He has worked very hard and will
be an excellent fireman.

I hope the sounds of screaming and the Hallelujah Chorus at 6:30 this morning didn't wake you up. But it couldn't be helped. I FINALLY MADE IT.........
