It felt a little bit naughty

This morning it was quite chilly. And very windy.

One side of the track we run on has regular old bleachers, the kind
that are open underneath. The other side is built on cement, like at
a big stadium.

We get to the regular old bleachers side and are just slammed by the
wind. It's even colder and it's slowing us down because we are
(trying) running into it. We get to the other side and the wind is
blocked.

We did the only natural thing, so that at least the wind would be at
our backs. We turned around and ran the track in the opposite
direction. We ran against the arrows. We went against the norm. We
"swam" upstream. We didn't conform to society's rules for track
running. We were REBELS.

And it felt good. It felt freeing. It felt a little bit naughty.

And then the wind went crazy and it didn't matter which direction we ran.
